Driving Plasma Donors to Action
With over 300 plasma donation centers across the U.S., we worked with our partner to achieve a goal of increasing their donor base by 15% and build awareness for future donors. We faced a significant awareness challenge, as people simply are not as familiar with the benefits of and process for plasma donation as they may be with giving blood.
We began by organizing 300+ centers across six business units into market tiers to identify DMAs with the highest volume of centers and where media would have the largest potential impact. We connected the client’s primary research with our own to uncover the motivations of people who may become donors near each center. We then connected our findings to creative messaging and media strategy to drive donor visits while lowering cost per acquisition (CPA), bringing the marketing and media message to life through understanding values.
Using the client’s primary audience personas, we developed targeted segments based on key behaviors – those who were interested in donating but needed to learn more and those who were ready to donate but needed to be motivated. For the “learn more” group, we delivered awareness-driving channels such as TV, OTT, and Digital Audio that drove towards our informational website. For the “drive motivation” group, we focused on lower funnel conversion tactics, such as programmatic display and paid search, that drove towards an email acquisition landing page. Dynamic paid search and Hyprlocal targeting also allowed us to control for the variance in compensation offers by individual center, ensuring prospects were receiving messages that aligned to the centers nearest them.

Building awareness for a National Health System
For two years, we worked as part of an Integrated Agency Team to develop, test and execute a one-of-a-kind marketing strategy model to address significant challenges the industry faces: high
costs and convenient care. The result has been broader access to and awareness of care, and superior patient satisfaction at low cost.
Following our discovery process, we deployed our primary consumer research capabilities to define personas to our customer targets. We leveraged our unique approach to understanding how patient values motivated decision making, and we developed a multi-pronged media strategy to effectively coordinate new center openings and awareness. We strategically targeted these values-based audiences via digital media to gain more national awareness and new center openings engagement. With 250+ locations and growing, the “on demand” healthcare facilities spread across five distinct regions.

Finding and building trust with genetic COPD patients
We helped launch a pilot program for a major pharmaceutical company around their Alpha 1 in-home testing kit. Over 15 million Americans suffer from COPD, but just under 15% of those have the genetic form of COPD. Our challenge was reaching patients with this rare diagnosis, convincing them to order the in-home test kit, and then to also send it back to receive their results.
Media partnerships with WebMD, Everyday Health, and the Mayo Clinic allowed us to drive conversions efficiently, while adhering to strict FDA, HIPAA and PHI compliant privacy policies.
Building Trust
Our core audience needed to be educated about the genetic form of COPD but were inherently wary of pharmaceutical companies. Our partnerships with reputable organizations such as the Alpha 1 Foundation and COPD Foundation laid the groundwork for building trust prior to launch of media. Our media partnerships with WebMD, Everyday Health, Mayo Clinic, and Cleveland Clinic, and utilizing world-renowned COPD experts in our content, further cultivated those patient relationships.
Driving Conversions
Ultimately, while the partnerships laid the foundation, conversion-focused media such as Paid Search, Meta, and Programmatic Display, along with custom CPA programs with our content partners, drove patients to an informational landing page we created and all the way to Kit Order.

Reaching HCP Audiences
Aletheia worked with one of the largest eye-care brands in the world to improve OTC volume for their Allergy and Dry Eye eye-drop products by increasing physician referrals and recommendations. Our challenge was how to get in front of healthcare professionals at moments of receptivity throughout their workflow when they were most likely to discuss treatment options with patients.
We developed an HCP-targeted media plan leveraging NPI level data across a variety of healthcare partners, including point-of-care messaging through Electronic Health Records platforms.
The key to this campaign was finding partners with access to 1:1 HCP level data. After our preliminary Discovery process, we identified several prospective partners for digital display and audio, crafted RFPs, and selected partners based on their ability to effectively reach our ECP audiences.
HCP level targeting gained us access to eyecare professionals, physicians, and practitioners. This was our broadest audience targeting. The next layer down was to look at ICD codes to find those physicians who most frequently diagnosed conditions such as dry eye and allergy-related eye conditions.
Finally, NPI level data gave us the most accurate layer of 1:1 targeting with the ability to reach specific ECPs based on their nationally registered unique identifier. This combination of targeting tactics ensured we were reaching the right HCPs efficiently, effectively, and in a manner that put our client’s brand directly into their recommendation consideration set.
